The struggle between Indians and settlers resulted in many children being kidnapped by Indians. Seems to be a lost discussion in the course of history. I first learned of it reading the book "News Of The World". While the story is fictious it is based on the story of a girl being returned to her family after having been kidnapped and rescued from the Indians. There is a movie adaptation of the book starring Tom Hanks. Interesting that a MOH story would revolve around that scenario. Thank you Tara.
