Tara, I agree. I am an old man and while my social studies and history courses in public school and even college taught much more about our Constitution, I wasn't really exposed to the Federalist and Anti-Federalist papers until becoming a follower of Tara Ross.
The point is, yes. It would be great if these documents were required reading for our young people, but they haven't been for a long while.
Plus, there is so much that has changed in the totality of how what is taught today compares to what was taught when I went to school.
It would be wonderful if our print and television media would take on the role of our schools and find an entertaining way to teach the fundamentals of our founding as a great nation.
Tara, I have learned so much more about our constitution and all that went into the forming of our government from you than I ever learned in school. The teaching of history and civics to children must have been lost through the generations. When did it disappear from the school curriculum? I’m grateful my parents taught us kids and we in turn taught ours. Parents are starting to realize their kids are deficient in true American history. It needs to be taught in schools and reinforced at home. Thank you for all your hard work to share these important lessons about our nation.
A tragedy that Civics is no longer taught in High School. I believe it was taken out of HS in the early 70’s. As Ronald Reagan warned us we were only one generation from losing our Country. I believe we may face another Revolutionary War to gain our Country back.
I totally agree! I never read the Federalist papers, but I am considering finding some reading on them. I wish our young people would take the time to understand why we have the Republic form of government that we have and how it should actually function!
I own a copy of the book that includes the Federalist papers. I read them occasionally. I also subscribe to Tara's group about said papers. I do agree with Tara and Thomas, "If only the Federalist Papers and the anti-Federalist Papers were required readings in our school today." History is more than memorized dates.
Thanks Tara. Wasn’t aware of the authors of the Federalist papers. Good knowledge. The more you read the more you know as long as the readings are accurate.
It seems the urgent need for an informed citizenry has been abandoned by our education system and what was known as the free press. They played such an important role in educating citizens in the early formation of the country. There are patriots who write for that purpose such as our own Tara Ross, but the challenge still is how to distribute the writings of these authors on a large scale to make them widely known. Citizens have become an afterthought to the folks we have elected to office and their appointees. Government officials work for the people but somehow citizens have lost their voice.
Constitution 101, including a reading of the Federalist Papers, should be required course in high school to assist future adult citizens with the civic knowledge necessary to be a mature, informed, and law-abiding American.
I had a copy of the Federalist Papers many years ago. I barely made a dent into them. The language of the time made it very slow going to understand. I wonder if the six right wing justices have a copy on their desks ? They seem, especially Thomas and Alito, to adhere to original intent in forming their opinions. I believe the Constitution is a living document and must adapt with the times. As brilliant as the writers of the Constitution were, so much has been learned in the 250 years since it was written.

Thank you Tara.
What a wonderful idea! Our children, citizens, being taught history!
Absolutely so....what a Novel idea 💡👍👍👍

If only the Federalist Papers AND the Constitution were required reading today! 📜 📜 📜 ✍️ ✍️ ✍️
Wouldn't it be wonderful if our history was actually taught to each new generation.
🇺🇲 Thanks for doing that, Tara. 🇺🇸

How about teaching the constitution

The way history is being rewritten future generations will never know the real history of America.
