Mrs. Didlake was not just a member of the Greatest Generation, she had to break through multiple barriers to serve. She was one of the “Greatest of the Greatest Generation” ! You have my respect and thanks.

Emma Didlake was an outstanding woman and patriot. It’s not surprising that a mother of five would display such courage. It’s no light task to raise children. She was willing to step up and serve her country. She was among many women doing the same thing. Since there was no argument perhaps her husband supported her decision. She lived a long and valiant life. It’s awesome that she got to visit Washington DC on the honor trip. That was a great reward for her service.
