Mr. Doss was the epitome of an American Hero and one who vowed not to fight. He didn't refuse to fight in order to avoid battle, to the contrary, he immersed himself in saving injured men right in the middle of the battle. To say that Private Doss was brave is not nearly enough. Private Doss accomplished almost super human feats. If we were to award only one MOH, Mr. Doss would be near or at the top of the list.
How heroic! This man certainly had God's hands on his shoulder! Many thought men of the cloth of any denomination were nuts, cowards, ect. And while he didn't just stay home while others did, he served not only his country, but saved hundreds of men. How very courageous!

Thank you, Tara!
These factual accounts must stay in our history forever!!
