Would his approach (different from Herbert Hoover’s) have prevented a longer depression if he’d been President during the stock market crash of 1929? Obviously, we can never REALLY know.
I think everyone today will agree that our former Presidents today do not come from the people or return to the people. They come from their elite circle of friends and return to that same elite circle of friends more wealthy than when they came in.
