All the effort put forth by a few to get this country established were a struggle. They were persistent though and it paid off. As much as they worked to safeguard the freedoms of the people a great deal has been lost because we have unethical people with great power and selfish motives governing the country. Sad turn of events. Pray it can be reversed, but we shall see. Another great history lesson, Tara.
Washington continues to amaze with the more I learn of him I may have seen this information about him but do not recall that he hosted the meeting between Maryland and Virginia. His foresight and acumen were indeed a blessing to our country. He is in so many ways the Father of our Country. Without him we would likely never existed as the bastion of freedom for the world.
Thank you Tara. More insight into how difficult travel and communication was then. It is truly amazing that the Founders were able to achieve success with the immense obstacles placed in their paths. Again, I doubt that they would have succeeded without Providence guiding the way.
Now that the hard work of gaining Independence was done, It seems as thought the sense of urgency for the formation of the country did not arise to the same level in every state. Thank God for those who persevered and pushed through to get the convention its start.
George Washington, was amazing on how he got the USA established and didn't gave up. Even though it must've been difficult, he never gave up on his country.
A good lesson, and one that raises questions. Like, why was the Continental Congress resisting a Constitutional Convention. And why did Rhode Island send no delegates.

Couldn't get much done since not enough showed up? Hmmm. They all show up now and still not much gets done.

Good things take time and concerted effort .
GREAT things might need divine intervention(s) and blessings to be realized .
I believe that there is ample evidence in our history that we have benefited from both, time after time , when they were needed the most .

Thank you, Tara, for this truthful story of our nation’s founding!
No runaway Convention back then!

I fully understand. Thank you for all your hard work and amazing effort. Love your well written essays on our history.

Punctuality and absenteeism is still in vogue with our Congress.
Thanks for this lesson. I love history so much these days.
Our history is so interesting and I’m happy to be involved both personally and with Tara’s posts.
Thank you, Tara.
Interesting background 🇺🇸 Thanks, Tara.
