Thank you Tara. Your stories always are alive and, I can almost hear Samuel Adams and Christopher Gadsden conversing about the evil tea and the Continental Congress. The principle of the unfair taxation was the last straw. Thank God for principled people.

I wonder what the founding fathers would think of all the taxes we pay today!

Who needs tea when there is rum to drink? 🤣🤣🤣

God bless all of the patriots and revolutionaries that gave birth to our great nation and God bless America.

I also thank you Tara Ross for your dedication to bring us these historical moments. ❤️

Love reading about how people dealt with unfair practices and came to conclusions in the early stages of our country’s founding. They seemed to listen to each other and reason it out. I know it didn’t happen all the time, but at least in the Charleston case that appears to be what happened. All over taxation and look at us now!

Great post today Tara! I wish sometimes you had an English counterpart that would give us the English pov of what they thought about their unruly brethren. I think by the end of the war, they were glad to be rid of us.

Charleston Tea Party with no tea in the harbor? No wonder there is no mention in our extensive high school history classes...
