Well this protest was conducted in a orderly fashion with no looting or destroying any property other than the purpose of the protest getting rid of the tea. They clearly made their point without harming people or possessions in the process. Quite different than what we see from the radical left today. Although they managed to free themselves of these British taxes today we find ourselves heavily taxed and often without representation. Once a tax is imposed it never goes away. Can we learn from history? You always add something new to a well known event. Have a good weekend, Tara.

Tara, Thank you! Once again, you write with panache and provide so much insight into American historical events. Incorporating these factual accounts of the past into our educational system would be a most positive means of teaching students today. Captivating and memorable history of this nature should be part of the curriculum!

Yes, I feel the anger and the discontent of the participants of the Sons of Liberty. Thank you Tara for another history lesson full of details that I have never heard.

May God lead us to a resolution in the current time. What is happening now is just as intolerable as it was in 1773, 250 years ago.

Imagine that!

An organized protest that harmed nothing but what the protestors were protesting against!

This nation’s Founders were organized and civil in their discontent over the Tyrant who ruled over them!

Thank you, Tara, for another story from our nation’s founding!

Americans (still) agree that "Taxation, without representation" is a key rebuke to an unhealthy that has forgotten, "to keep your eye on the prize.

We can still be a Republic of citizens that can "steer" our own ship, without politicians or (anti-Americans), trying to set an alternate course for freedoms in our Great Land of opportunity.

Now, where we see a great 'divide' is [how] protests are conducted against any government agencies, that have forgotten, [why] they were elected to public offices.

I would love to hear the accounts of the great Boston Tea Party, shared on any media TV and radio stations, that dare to share the truth. No casualties or property damage was done to any ship or members of the crew, that was (raided).

[Recent protests] have been anything, "but peaceful"! The chronicles of the uprising in Boston Harbor, by the American citizens., shows that there is always a way to get a point across, without burning, injuring people, or looting merchandise!

(It's been shown that even our Congress and Senate do not know the "great art of disagreement" while sitting in their comfy, leather, arm chairs, while they debate the next Tax Ventures that are to be placed upon the backs of the working public. )

It doesn't appear that American colleges have succeeded in teaching (how to be, civil) as an attribute to being a leader in this nation.

As Mr. Rogers always sang, to the viewers, "It's a wonderful day in the neighborhood. Won't you be my neighbor?

Peaceful and orderly, the "Indians" made the statement to the king and his cronies. Worth considering today in some of our own situations.

"A magnificent movement" is a description that I had never learned of, to describe the 'Boston Tea Party. I like that term and what it meant. Thank you, Tara Ross.

So let me see if I understand this article. The Boston Tea Party was a mostly peaceful protest? Unprecedented! No one was injured during the rioting, burning , and looting? What did you say? There was no burning, burning or looting? Maybe we need to send ANTIFA back in time to show those panty-waist protesters how it is done.

I think we could use a "Boston Tea Party" event today. Of course, we would have to be very careful and use the integrity of the original party goers. Thank you Tara for all the inciteful, informative post you put up.

🇺🇸 The Boston Tea Party was a "magnificent Movement"

and apparently the neatest, most precise protest of which I've ever heard.

As I recall, the Boston protest was something like the fourth wherein ships were boarded and tea fed to the fishes.
