Tremendous story. A mortal can show no greater love than to give his life for another. Thanks, Tara, for reminding us of these and the many others we need to remember. Surely, someone somewhere has developed a calendar which lists these heroes by annual date.

Heroes are not born......So many of the heroic acts are proceeded by personal, inner fear, of not being able to see tomorrow, yet they love and respect the lives of their friends and buddies and make the total sacrifice of (self), instead of become a sad report in a daily combat log, which tells the story of multiple deaths and casualties, (had it not been for the heroic sacrifices of one or two men in the battalion.) How can all of us "salute" these heroes of America?
Love the Freedoms we have today. Believe in our Republic. Be willing to sacrifice at any given moment. God's Grace changes everything.
Amen, Tara. I will remember Michael Folland and Michael Blanchfield for their selfless actions and all who have given their lives for our continued freedom, as I celebrate our Nation's Independence Day tomorrow. Thank you Tara.

Every parade that I watch with (our brave men), brings tears to my eyes.
They don't know where their deployment will be tomorrow, but still stay vigilant to America.
