Tara, I thank you very much for the manner in which you write. You make the most mundane seem to be the most important and you surprise me with new facts, daily. Today's story of young Benjamin Franklin is very intriguing and I can hardly wait for the next installment about his life.
Of course we all know of Benjamin Franklin but, you find and present the interesting details that make me feel as though I knew the man.
For example, I didn't know why Franklin became a printer or that he didn't complete his apprenticeship with his brother.
I love Franklin's life story. It's a look into the times he was born into as well as understanding the genius he developed over his life. Thanks for this, Tara.
Amazing life story. Franklin was a great figure in amassing support for the rebel cause. And on a personal note a fine friend to my ancestor Dr Benj. Rush also a “signer”. And in death as well they are buried in close proximity to each other at Christ Church In Philadelphia.
There’s so much more to Benjamin Franklin than many of us know. I love reading about his ingenuity and his sense of humor. It’s always good to be reminded that success available to those who work hard for it. Men like Franklin proved it.
My theory is that every once in awhile, a confluence of people get together and do something great. Two examples, the Founders and Framers at the end of the 18th century and physicists at the beginning of the 20th…
Thanks for this piece, which is timely for me. I'm not American, so I didn't know much about Franklin other than that he was a Founding Father and discovered electricity. I'm playing catch up now because he turns up in the journals of the Duc de Croÿ, which I'm currently reading. I look forward to the next instalment!

Thank you Tara for another intriguing episode.

It would see, that Benjamin was always a bit of a rebel.

Thanks for this insight into one of my favorite historical characters! I am glad he did not go to sea!
Thank you for this story! God surely led our founders..good and bad, young and old. 🇺🇸
Ben Franklin is an inspiration!
🇺🇲 An amazing life, far from the ordinary at every turn. Thanks for sharing this, TR! 🇺🇸
Glad to hear more of Benjamin's early life. We got the older version in High School.
Thanks Tara. I echo Wally's remarks.
Just goes to show, a person can succeed regardless of his past if he desires to do so.
Constant handouts keep us in poverty.

We are lucky as a nation that one of our Founders was B. Franklin and not, say, J. Biden…
You could insert the name of about 95% of politicans in there, and it would still be a true statement. Sadly.
Also, art during the renaissance…

Thank you Tara for another great TDIH.
I think most people love Franklin I know I do!
More background on a person that I thought I knew a lot about. Surprised me again and thank you again.
