Another interesting story of a not so popular event, which adds to the color of the American Revolution history. Thanks, Tara for this juicy tidbit!

The wages of treason SHOULD be death! There is No worse action than to sell out your friends! Thanks Tara, we need to remember the name Benjamin Church as a traitor.

Dr. Benjamin Church was a traitor, convicted by a court of inquiry in 1775? I don't think that I have heard of this before.

Tara, once again, you know facts that are not widely taught. Some people obviously weren't crazy about separating from the British Crown.

I wonder what really happened to the ship carrying Dr Church to the West Indies? Thank you Tara.

Thank you Tara 😊 I'm convinced that even then as today if you follow the money 💰 you'll find the culprit. 😉

Tara, another fascinating bit of our nation’s history .. thank you for these informative articles! This is how history should be taught - along with Civics lessons to inspire our youth. America had much to be proud of, despite efforts to portray us in a negative manner.

Interesting account of another spy. One I never knew existed. He even came before Benedict Arnold. One thing that stands out is that his finances were never suspect. If nothing else by our day that is something that should be investigated. It always leads to criminal activity. As usual the culprit, Benjamin Church, lied about it. Thanks for a great history lesson, Tara.

Traitors must have the help of others in their subterfuge and it most always winds up leading to their demise....or at least the reveal of the betrayal they are selling to the enemy. They will usually get what they are rightfully so deserving of when caught.

There are a few, maybe more, people these days that could be lost at sea.

I was surprised to learn of this traitor. Glad he was discovered and convicted. In the end death was his sentence. Thank you Tara for this lesson.
