What an asset Benedict Arnold could have been later in the war if he had not had feet of clay!

Benedict Arnold had some serious personality flaws and with time they became apparent. He started out well, but like always happens eventually his true character was exposed. Too bad he didn’t remain a patriot. His actions at the Powder House are not what we think of when we think of Arnold. His reputation was irreparably damaged. Instead of remembering him for his courage in the fight for independence he is known as a traitor and all traitors since are referred to as “Benedict Arnolds”. A sad legacy.
