This is a sobering story of poor recognition as well as poor self-esteem. We can all learn from this.

Thank you for the details, Tara. Hearing some of Arnold's "slights" gives a little perspective. I can imagine that he felt deserving of much more, and undoubtedly swayed by the encouragement from his Loyalist wife and her friends and family.

I can't wait until tomorrow. Thank you Tara.

Ego and love made for strange bedfellows in this story. I anxiously await for “The rest of the story” to as Paul Harvey would tell his listeners.

If he had died during the battle of Saratoga, he would have been a hero. Instead, he will always remain as a traitor. Sad story for a man who allowed his vanity destroy his honor.

Such a convoluted man! Benedict Arnold did so much good for the country, but ended up being remembered as a traitor. Looking forward to reading the test of the story tomorrow.

Arnold was a hero, but his integrity failed the the test. Sadly, it failed miserably and with extreme consequences. How easy it was to condemn him, but how would another weathered his storm? One thing about George Washington was that his integrity and honor were above a price. If only Arnold and so many others so valued their honor and integrity.
