Arnold should have been a treasured, American hero...

instead, a life of a traitor lived in a country ambivalent, at best, toward your sacrifice.

Sad ending.

When you read these early feats of Arnold it has to sadden you, me at least, that such a great Patriot would turn to such a low level.

I had never heard of this battle before!

Benedict Arnold outsmarted the British and saved George Washington from a battle that could have had a tragic affect on the fight for independence and future as a nation!

Thank you Tara for passing it along to all of us!

Incredible inspired leadership shown once again by Arnold against seemingly impossible odds and circumstances. Fierce , unbelievably courageous and bold can’t even touch the surface in Trying to describe the character of the men he lead ! They did the impossible against overwhelming odds and conditions that they refused to succumb to - truly an amazing tale told by an incredibly talented story teller - the incomparable Tara Ross ! 👏🏻🇺🇸👌

Thank you Tara! I’m a middle school teacher in the PNW that takes his class to Washington, DC every other year, and always to to the American history museum to see the Star Spangled Banner and the Philadelphia.

Arnold switched loyalty because he felt 'unappreciated' by the Americans but then was also unappreciated and not even trusted by the English! It was a sad choice for him after fighting brilliantly to become disgraced as a traitor.
