An unusual mistake by Washington. We fought the war to the bitter end thanks to outside help. Washington would call it providence. I think he had more of his share of that belief.

So glad this is not the end for the Americans although the situation looks dire. When up against a wall the American spirit rises stronger than ever. We’ll see it very evident in part 3.

Those were dark days. The British with 20,000 well trained troops up against 9,000 poorly trained troops.
