Human error? You would think that changing the position of that switch would have been one person's responsibility and that one person only. probably rehersed a jillion times.
I recall the incident and it must have been a Human caused error or Appolo 11 wouldn't have happened when it did.
Those moon shots were so exciting as a youth. They were heavily covered by the media and we were on the edge of our seats! I love these recaps! Thanks Tara!
A very miraculous recovery from near disaster. Probably could have delayed Apollo 11 by years if they hadn't come out of the roll. Thanks for the little known story!
It's amazing to me that of all the things that could have gone wrong, this was the only real problem! Human error does that sort of thing and the ability of the humans to overcome and repair the error won the day.
The astronauts were and are pioneers just as much as the ones who crossed the nation in covered wagons. I remember many of the beginning space missions. It was exciting to follow as a child. The Apollo 10 two man crew were fortunate they made it back home safely. Learned some new things I didn’t know about this mission. Thanks, Tara, for sharing another great part of our history.

Thank you, again, Tara for this story of of courage in the face of imminent failure!
Each mission may have had it's bumps, they all helped get Apollo to the moon.
Communication is important in all things. Especially when deviating from an established and practiced protocol!
👍👍👍
Great story (as usual)! Thanks, Tara.
Thank you Tara 😊 I'm wondering maybe they should have a checklist 🤭 luckily all was good 👍 😊 😉
