Another interesting story, Tara. Phoebe Ann Mosey became a legend through her prowess with a gun. She led a tough life which was not all that uncommon during the time but, she was able to master her skills. I look forward to reading about her rise to fame. Thank you Tara.

Hardship is looked at as an undesirable condition, but people like Annie Oakley developed strong characters that they otherwise might not have achieved. A life of ease often produces a lazy, ungrateful and selfish person. She definitely lived an interpreted life. What a time to live! About the only thing I knew about her was from the Doris Day movie. 😄 Movies are notorious for embellishing and changing the true story even when it’s based on a real person. The portrayal of Annie in the movie seems true to life. She was a scrappy strong female. I look forward to learning more about her life.

I love her story, she was a natural shooter, an instinctive shooter. They are few and far between and her whole story is indeed remarkable. She could shoot any gun better than anyone male or female! Send out more stores on this American treasure!!

What a fantastic example of triumph through perseverance. She might not have been able to give voice to her prayer to God, but nonetheless, He heard it.
