“Annie’s story is America’s story”!

They came to America, they worked hard and made a life for themselves and their posterity!

People did not come to America for free room and board!

Thank you, Tara, for another GREAT story!

Americans story. Most of us had immigrant ancestors so, you are right Tara. Annie Moores ancestors story is typical of the American dream.

Assimilation and hard work have historically been a huge part of success in America. Thank you Annie Moore, and the ancestors of my own family for having the dream of be successful in America. Thank you Tara, for this reminder of who we are.

These stories are just as interesting and informative as the ones about war heroes! Texas has enough great tales in our history; I'll allow this one to be given up!

Great story! It made me return to my thoughts on the general media today, the willingness of some of us humans to accept what we read, and to pray that this story repeats itself many times over tomorrow.

A beautiful story of the American dream. It came true because of immigrants who assimilated into their new country, were willing to work hard and valued and appreciated all this country offered them. They weren’t looking back. They were looking to the future for themselves and following generations. It’s not surprising that another version was propagated and hid the truth for so long. It’s seems that the truth is often ignored even when people who know it try to set the record straight. Thanks for telling the whole story, Tara.
