Thank you Tara for another MOH Monday. Sgt 1st Class Alwin C Cashe died a hero who gave his life saving his fellow soldiers. His actions were extraordinary but were in character with the type of person he was. God bless you Sir on this Veterans day and God bless all who have served or currently serve this great nation.
Sgt 1st Class Alwyn C Cashe served in an exemplary fashion as a true hero. He did what he did for others not for commendation and accolades. He obviously wasn’t thinking of honors for himself, but saving the lives of those trapped and in danger. It’s hard to understand why at first he was only given the Silver Star. It’s good that it was eventually corrected and upgraded to a Medal of Honor. He certainly deserved and earned it. Another American hero!
What a story of love and heroism! On this day of remembrance, hold your heads high and praise the efforts of such men. RIP, SFC Cashe, your deeds speak for themselves and your friends remember.
What great bravery and heroism, his friend said it all; “No one wins this award,” Cashe’s friend, Jimmy Ryan, concluded, “they earn it by their performance in situations no one would ever want to be in. They demonstrate a willingness to die so that others can live.”
When [fire] breaks out, human nature nd instinct tells us to run. Not so for Mr. Cashe! He ran back, again and again, without personal regard for his own survival, because …his friends were in jeopardy!🙏🏼
He continued showing that his buddies came first. “No one wins this award,” Cashe’s friend, Jimmy Ryan, concluded, “they earn it by their performance in situations no one would ever want to be in. They demonstrate a willingness to die so that others can live.” A tribute to each and every Veteran who has been awarded the MoH. Thanks Tara and Happy Veterans Day to my Brothers and Sisters in Arms.

What a GREAT man Alwyn Cashe was!
Over snd over again he dove into flames to save the lives of his fellow soldiers and in the end giving up his own life for their lives!
