We have a president who is being ruled by those who club their way through every check, denying the balance. Now that his senility is no longer deniable, they want him to step down even though the people already spoke. He is their nominee and should stay so. Let them eat the cake they baked.

Yep. I find it interesting that there is a big attempt to knock President Biden off the ticket as a result of his continuing drop in the polls, in spite of the fact he won plenty of delegates in the primaries. It almost sounds like an “assault on democracy” ! But there is no mention of that !

Wow! Our founding fathers were so much smarter than most people give them credit for.

If our politicians today were as smart as they think they are, then our politicians, would be strict Constitutionalist.

Yes, the lust for power is insatiable. Our second president was correct when he said that and, time has proven that laws and policies are stretched and broken because of this quest for more power.

The results are visible everywhere.

Thank you Tara.

Just listen to the democrats as they want to destroy the SCOTUS, the electoral college and anything that gets in their way of one party rule. They want to control the education system the lower court system and the Constitution as written. You don't see the other party calling for those things.. just my personal thoughts...

We are seeing the reality of these words of John Adams. Power is a powerful instinct. It is almost impossible to resist the quest for it. Once it takes precedence in a person’s mind it directs everything they do. What we so admire in our Medal of Honor recipients is their humility and thoughts of others they feel are more worthy to receive such an honor. They represent the best quality a man can obtain. Perhaps the difficult challenges our military experience produces excellent character. The harder the experience the stronger the man. Faith grows and makes him a better person.

🇺🇸 Adams, and the others understood the lust for power is a great temptation. You see it in Genesis 3 and every day since...Hence the wisdom of the checks and balances.

Why does Alexis de Tocqueville keep popping up in my head?

The latest act of desperation to retain power floated by this administration is National rent control and a Constitutional Amendment to remove Presidential immunity from the Constitution along with legislation to direct SCOTUS on ethics. Crazy!

WOW! How absolutely true!

John Adams and our nation’s Founders certainly understood the human desire for power and wrote our Constitution to defend “The People” against that power!

Thank you, Tara, for this important story about the meaning behind the writing of our Constitution!
