Oops. I was scheduling and meant this for 5:30 CT, not 4:30, but I guess if you are following me here on Substack, then you get a sneak peek ahead of the other social media platforms. LOL. Have a great weekend!

1. Ron Reagan

2. Hayes was secretly sworn in on a Saturday after Congress finally struck a deal to finally affirm the election and then had the inauguration on Monday 3/5/1877.

3. So Ike is the first recorded to ride a helicopter but there is a story about Truman wanting to ride in a Navy ASW helicopter, not verifiable though.

1) There were 4: FDR, Ike, and Reagan were all cheerleaders in college. George W Bush was a cheerleader in HS and college.

2) Zachary Taylor, Polk's term officially ended at noon on Sunday March 4th. Some argue that David Rice Atchison as president pro-tempore of the Senate was President for a day. Others argue that his term was also expired. I would argue that the baton is passed when the sitting president's term is ended, oath or not.

3) Ike is officially the first sitting president to fly in a helicopter. However there is a story that Truman may have taken a hop in one from Helicopter Anti-Submarine Squadron 3 (HS-3) at Anacostia in 1953, but no photos or records have been found to substantiate this.
