1) Rutherford B. Hayes. Siam was a gift from theAmerican consul in Bangkok, David B. Sickels.

2) Hmm, well JFK had a grey shorthair named Tom Kitten that belonged to Caroline. JFK proved to be very allergic so his stay was short lived. The "official" answer would seem to be Susan Ford's Siamese cat Shan in 1974.

3) Abraham Lincoln had Tabby and Dixie, both gifts from SOS William Seward

1) I would have guessed Hoover - due to his wife's and his early connection with China. But the 2nd question puts that idea out.

2) AFTER Coolidge? Not Hoover. Long time puts out FDR. FDR was a long time all by himself. I never heard of pets for "Buck Stops Here," nor for "I like Ike." JFK?

3) Madison?

Hmmmm let me guess

1. Herbert Hoover since both he and his wife worked in China in the early 1900’s.

2. The Clintons….. didn’t they have a cat named Socks

3. No idea really but I’m thinking one of the first 4 since they were all farmers and land owners used to having cats around.
