I always enjoy the Presidential Trivia posts each week. I usually don’t know the answers, so I always learn new and interesting facts about our presidents.
1) William Henry Harrison posed for one in1841.Unfortunately the photograph no longer exists. The 1849 photo of James K. Polk is the oldest known surviving photo of a then sitting president. As a side note, Polk was photographed by the not quite yet famous Matthew Brady who is best known for his photos documenting the Civil War.
2) The 1843 photo of John Quincy Adams is the oldest known surviving photo of a president or former president.
Until tomorrow.
1. William Henry Harrison
2. John Quincy Adams
3. James K. Polk
It took some research.
