If the government says you don't need a gun, you need a gun!

This is an intriguing history lesson. The fact that Tench Coxe knew the importance of an armed citizenry and pushed for it has been an invaluable right for Americans throughout our history. It’s understandable why he was concerned about a strong military and yet the military has been a great source of power against foreign adversaries. Hindsight is always 20/20. It makes sense it was difficult to trust him since he had been so vocal in his opposition and then switched midstream. That calls for proof that the change was real. Excellent end to this week’s historical posts. Thanks, Tara.
