The average age of an infantry soldier in Vietnam was 22 years old. Mr. Roberts must have been 18 or 19 during his Medal of Honor action. Wonder what the average age of a war protester was? Salute Mr. Roberts! So much respect!

Mr. Gordon Robert's, you were a one man wrecking crew on that day in 1969, and I salute you Sir.

Thanks to his bravery and determination, men survived who probably wouldn't have otherwise. His actions are the definition of Hero.

I was a Navy Corpsman at the time of this incident. We were losing so many during my more than 4 years on active duty and men such as Specialist Roberts are the men we all would hope that we would be in similar situations. Thank you Tara.
