Thank you Tara. Your research provides many details and facts that are rarely known. The information about his dancing prowess is news to me but, the normally controlled temper of George Washington was known to me. His attempts to control his passions helped make Mr Washington the leader we love to hear about. His temper could have easily defined him but his ability to contain it is remarkable. I can imagine that he must have had a huge struggle to keep his temper in control. George Washington, a normal person. Who would have thought?

Amazing story showing that Washington was a great human as well as a leader on the battlefield and a statesman in government. Loved this lesson never before heard.

He loved happy times! What a break from the weighty responsibilities he carried. We would do well to balance our lives as well.

Wonderful to get to know the real man behind the outward person presented by history books.

But the minuet was considered a baudy dance. The dance partners touched each other! :)

And George danced for hours with Mrs Greene!

Of course dancing was a bit more dignified in his time. I don't think the mosh pit had been invented.
