I love these untold stories of the Revolutionary war, especially the young patriots who risked their lives for the cause. The possibility of her marriage to Springfeild is a Hallmark ending, but 22 kids!!!! Great story Tara keep them coming!!
Wow. I love stories like this. Dicey Langston supported the American war effort in many ways. I am certain that there were many women who did much in support of the war effort. Dicey went above and beyond and the story prevails, thanks to you and others Tara. God bless the United States of America. Thank you Tara.
Love this account of a brave young patriot. America needs young patriots who love their country, appreciate the freedom they enjoy and are willing to do whatever they can to preserve it. The young are the hope of this nation.
Having lived in Upstate South Carolina for years, Dicey is being recognized for her bravery with a monument in Travelers Rest , South Carolina. She is well known in this part of our country. She lived here many years and is buried in Travelers Rest.
I wonder if "Dicey" had the same connotation during the American Revolution as it does now? Laodicea Langston Springfield definitely lived up to her nickname!
"One tough cookie," indeed - in many ways. American Heroines have provide invaluable aid in every American conflict. Thank you, Tara Ross, for keeping the memory or them, and especially of Dicey Langston alive.
