ANSWER: James Polk. He became ill with cholera three months after he left the White House and passed away soon afterwards. His wife, Sarah, was a widow for 42 years afterwards—the longest widowhood of any First Lady.

(2) QUESTION: One President has a cocktail named after him. This cocktail is made with rye whiskey, cherry liqueur, vermouth, and absinthe. Which President?

ANSWER: William McKinley. The McKinley’s Delight recipe was created during his 1896 campaign.

(3) QUESTION: One President told a journalist that a James Bond book was among his favorites. The endorsement added to the success of the books, and author Ian Fleming gave a nod to this President in a subsequent book. Which President?

ANSWER: John Kennedy. He named “From Russia with Love” as a favorite when interviewed by Life Magazine. Fleming later added the line, “We need some more Jack Kennedys,” to his book, “The Spy Who Loved Me.”
