ANSWER: George Washington. The Mount Vernon website explains: “Washington had made several previous attempts to buy a donkey from Spain. The animals had an international reputation for being the best of their kind. His intention was to crossbreed a jack with his mares to produce a robust equine hybrid: the mule. Few mules existed in the early United States. Those that were available were of poor breeding . . . . Washington believed that robustly bred mules would revolutionize agricultural work and transportation . . . .”
(2) QUESTION: Which future President studied law as an apprentice to Thomas Jefferson?
ANSWER: James Monroe.
(3) QUESTION: Which President is the only one buried in Washington, D.C.?
ANSWER: Woodrow Wilson. He’s buried in a crypt at the Washington National Cathedral.
Interesting. The only POTUS whose hometown didn’t want him back was another authoritarian “progressive” whose wife was really pulling the strings out of sight. Should be interesting to see if history repeats itself.
