ANSWER: William Holden. Nancy’s matron of honor was Holden’s wife, Ardis. Reagan describes the wedding in his autobiography: “If the Hollywood press had gotten wind of our plans, they would have stormed the church, so, apologizing to Nancy, I suggested we have a quiet, secret wedding. She agreed and we were married in a touching ceremony in the Little Brown Church in the Valley on March 4, 1952. There were just five of us in an empty church.” After the wedding, the newlyweds went to the Holdens’ house in Toluca Lake, California, for dinner and wedding cake.

ANSWER: False. While both Presidents Bush were sworn in by the same Chief Justice (William Rehnquist), the Presidents Adams were sworn in by different Chief Justices. Chief Justice Oliver Ellsworth swore in John Adams. Chief Justice John Marshall swore in John Quincy Adams.
