ANSWER: James K. Polk (November 2, 1795) and Warren G. Harding (November 2, 1865).

(2) QUESTION: Two Presidents died on the same day, but 56 years apart. Which two Presidents? Two other Presidents died on the same day, but 34 years apart. Which two Presidents?

ANSWER: Millard Fillmore (March 8, 1874) and William Howard Taft (March 8, 1930) died on the same day, but 56 years apart. Harry Truman (December 26, 1972) and Gerald Ford (December 26, 2006) died on the same day, but 34 years apart.

(3) QUESTION: Which President(s) arguably have two birthdays?

ANSWER: George Washington, John Adams, Thomas Jefferson, James Madison. Each was born before the British Parliament passed the Calendar Act of 1751, switching the British empire from the Julian calendar to the Gregorian calendar. So, for example, while we celebrate Washington’s birthday on February 22, his old style birthday would have been February 11.
