ANSWER: These answers are estimated, of course, especially for our early Presidents, but John Quincy Adams is generally cited as the President with the highest IQ (estimated to be between 165 and 175). Thomas Jefferson is a close second with an estimated IQ around 160.

(2) QUESTION: Which President was the first to occupy the White House?

ANSWER: John Adams.

(3) QUESTION: One President had an amphibious car that could float in water. He used it to pull practical jokes on people. (He pretended the brakes were broken while hurtling straight towards a lake.) Which President?

ANSWER: Lyndon B. Johnson. The car was a German vehicle known as the Amphicar. One of LBJ’s advisors wrote of his ride in the car: “We reached a steep incline at the edge of the lake and the car started rolling rapidly toward the water. The President shouted, ‘The brakes don’t work! The brakes won’t hold! We’re going in! We’re going under!’ The car splashed into the water. I started to get out. Just then the car leveled and I realized we were in a Amphicar. The President laughed. As we putted along the lake then (and throughout the evening), he teased me. ‘Vicky, did you see what Joe did? He didn’t give a damn about his President. He just wanted to save his own skin and get out of the car.’ Then he’d roar.”
